What We Do
We are a team that project manages all aspects of each individual project with pride and excellence. We have built a trusted team of professionals and trades who we are proud to have worked with for many years. Our teams are used to working within rigid boundaries, pressing deadlines and individual circumstances. We always deliver to the highest standards.
We provide architect design, build teams, professional project management from technical to client liaison and interior design, right through to build completion.
We provide solutions for families who have experienced medical negligence from birth and also personal injury. Every client’s circumstance is unique and we are able to design and build a new living space to suit their needs, this may fall to a complete new home or adaptations specific to certain areas.
Our Mission
At Red Edge, our aim is to build a strong relationship with the client from the off set, continuing this throughout the project.
Our clients are shielded from any issues that may arise during the build.
As communication is one of our strengths, we create group WhatsApp channels, between all parties involved, from technical to transparent communication with the client and supporting professionals, these platforms are crucial to the success of each project.
Rob and I together, hold over 40 years of experience within this industry and understand only too well, how important open and transparent forms of consistent exchange and connection with our teams and client are.
The Management Team
Rob Davis – Managing Director BSc (Hons) Surveying (QS)
With 35 years of experience in the construction industry, Rob offers extensive expertise and industry knowledge. Beginning his career as a trainee Quantity Surveyor with Wimpey Construction, working on site at North Manchester Hospital while completing an honours degree in Surveying at Salford University.
He then moved to Seddon Construction, where he became Project Manager and Quantity Surveyor, delivering a wide range of projects including social housing, nursing homes and infrastructure schemes.
Rob’s next role was with Bryant Homes, where he began to specialise in housing construction. A subsequent stint at Multibuild allowed him to develop extensive refurbishment experience in his role as Project Manager. He later led the Commercial Department at Egerton Estates, a high-end developer delivering prestigious projects across Cheshire, before taking up a Commercial Director role at Highgrove Estates. It was here that Rob developed the ambition to establish his own consultancy.
In 2007, RED Project Management was founded to provide project management and quantity surveying services for private client builds and commercial developments on a freelance basis.
During a secondment to The Vinden Partnership in 2016, it became clear that the legal sector could significantly benefit from Rob’s expertise, leading to the formation of Red Edge Ltd. Initially providing PM and QS services to private individuals and legal firms supporting residential construction, Red Edge later evolved following a project with a leading Manchester law firm.
As a result, the business shifted its focus to deliver a fully integrated, one-stop solution for design and build accommodation provision, maintenance and expert witness services.
Kate Watt – Client Care Director BA (Hons) Interiors Textile Design / History of Art & Architecture
Kate has spent the past 15 years running her own interior design business, working closely with architects and highly skilled trades within the construction industry to deliver bespoke homes for her clients. Her projects have ranged from internal refurbishments and period property renovations to extensions and complete new builds.
With many years of experience in the sector, Kate understands the power of clear, consistent communication and the essential role it plays when working closely with clients. Strong client liaison ensures that each project is delivered to the highest standard and within the agreed budget.
Kate’s move into the assisted living arena was a natural progression, as she recognised that client liaison was often lacking and that vulnerable clients were being left exposed. As a result, Kate and Rob formed a unique business model that brings together their combined skill sets to provide legal teams with the protection and reassurance their clients need.
The Client Liaison function at Red Edge ensures that clients feel valued, listened to and supported throughout every stage of the project. Kate’s role is to safeguard the client’s interests while offering practical knowledge and experience throughout the build process. This provides a vital protective layer, alongside her extensive interior design expertise, enabling the creation of homes that meet the needs of individuals and families, deliver a sense of luxury, and remain within agreed budgets.
Kate works closely with case managers, occupational therapists and physiotherapists to ensure Red Edge fully meets each client’s needs, maintaining strong professional relationships until the family home is completed and ready for handover.
